Pitlochry Festival Theatre is a theatre like no other, in a place like no other. Nestled in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, in the small village of Pitlochry, Perthshire, we have been bringing extraordinary stories to life for 75 years. Under the artistic leadership of award-winning actor and activist Alan Cumming, we are punching far above our weight, creating world-class theatre from the heart of rural Scotland.
We are one of the last remaining end-to-end producing theatres, with work commissioned, rehearsed, built on-site, and performed here, at scale. From our hillside home overlooking the River Tummel, we continue to shape the future of Scotland's performing arts.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we're looking ahead. As a registered charity, we need your support to:
CREATE outstanding live theatre for the next 75 magnificent years, right here in the Highlands of Scotland.
ENABLE bold new writing, fresh voices, and exceptional creative talent as we develop Season 2026 and beyond, led by Alan Cumming's fearless artistic vision.
SHARE the magic of theatre with schools, young people, and communities through our growing engagement programmes, reaching far beyond our small village into the wider world.
Your commitment ensures our charity can achieve its ambitions and keep the wonder of live theatre alive, today and for generations to come. This milestone year is the perfect moment to make a lasting impact. Donate today and help shape the next 75 years of Pitlochry Festival Theatre. You can support by donating, becoming a Member, or joining us as a Patron.
